Uber Technologies stated on Monday it has joined forces with BBM Messenger to permit customers world wide, together with within the utility’s largest market of Indonesia, to ebook rides through the messenger service.

The partnership settlement is with Inventive Media Works, working as BBM Messenger, the corporate stated in an announcement.

“With this partnership, BBM customers can shortly request an Uber experience through BBM regardless of variations in high quality of location, community pace, or system options,” said Chan Park, Uber’s normal supervisor in Southeast Asia.

The settlement implies that BBM Messenger customers, together with each Android and iOS customers, can ebook an Uber experience with out leaving the BBM app, or being required to have a stand-alone Uber app on their cellphone, the corporate stated.

Inventive Media works is a unit of Indonesian media group PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk. The corporate operates the worldwide BBM shopper messaging and social networking platform below a licence from BlackBerry Restricted.
